被 sits before the person who did the action.
Name the thing first.

别人 is another person, not you.
The second syllable is often light.
to receive
收到 is getting a letter or a message.
Put the thing after 收到.
to leave
离开 is going away from a place. You already know 离.

刚 is a very short 'just'.
Put 刚 before the verb.
letter
信 is a letter you send or receive.
Practice 收到信.

被 plus the person plus the verb shows who did it to the thing.
被 shows the action happened to the thing, not by it. 这本书被别人借走了 means someone else borrowed the book away. You already know 借.
